Gabriel S. Levine

Of Counsel Gabriel S. Levine acts as outside general counsel to new media companies, including emerging and established technical and creative services enterprises, with an emphasis on proactive protection of assets and prevention of business disruption. In addition, Gabe has significant experience as a business litigator, with an emphasis on dispute resolution in the employment context. Gabe's practical approach to resolving difficult negotiations and disputes, along with his outstanding litigation skills, have brought consistent praise from both his clients and peers. Thanks to his outstanding reputation, Gabe has been selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star for the last three years (2009, 2010 and 2011).

Gabe frequently speaks to employee and professional groups on legal issues of interest to New Media entrepreneurs. Recent engagements include appearances on webcasts Creative Mornings, Let's Make Mistakes (Barely Legal), and ExecSense Webinar on Antitrust. Gabe blogs for clients and friends on current topics related to his practice at My Lawyer Gabe and Your Lawyer Gabe.

Gabe received his B.A. from the University of California at Santa Barbara, and his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of San Francisco School of Law, where he was member of the Law Review, a Dean’s Scholar, and recipient of the CALI Award for Excellence (formerly known as American Jurisprudence Awards, awarded to the student earning the highest mark in each course) in the following courses: Constitutional Law, Contracts, Employment Litigation, Land Use and Torts.
